::Eponian Jedi Robes::
-First shots-
These shots were taken just after the basic construction was finished on the robes and gloves.
I took these shots of the mostly finished costume while packing for Celebration III. The first shot shows the surcoat and the headdress. The second shows a detail of the surcoat's buttons and beaded strands.
-Test phase-
Here I was testing out a possible hairstyle based off of the original inspiration. I have since decided to go in another direction.
These are the boots I will be using. I tested two different way to wear them, the left (looking at the pic) was done with a hair rubber band. For the actual costume my husband purchased some military boot band to achieve the effect.
Here I tested out how the symbols would look for the stripe on the pants. The first image shows the 1 1/2" ribbon I was going to use originally. Recently I decided the 7/8" ribbon was a better width and in the second image I retested the symbols on it.
This is what part of the ribbon trim on the surcoat will look like. Unlike the stripe on the pants, these "symbols" are not letters, just randomly made up lines which I had sketched out previously.
-All in the details-
These small bands will acheive the proper blousing effect for the pants of my costume. They were purchased from a store on a military base.
These are the beaded strands which will be attached to the waist area of the surcoat.
